Ma'n said: I heard my father say: I asked Masruq: On the night the jinn came and listened to the Qur'an, who informed the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) of it? He said: Your father (i.e., Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with them both) told me that a tree informed him (peace be upon him) of the coming of the jinn.
الترجمة الأردية
معن کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنے والد سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہمیں نے مسروق سے پوچھا کہ جس رات جنوں نے آ کر قرآن سنا تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اس بات کی خبر کس نے دی؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے تمہارے باپ (یعنی سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما) نے بیان کیا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو جنوں کے آنے کی خبر درخت نے دی تھی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2118]
