Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) (and he was the chief of the reciters): "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has commanded me to recite before you the Sura 'Those who disbelieved were not...' (Surat al-Bayyina)." He said: Did Allah, Majestic is His majesty, mention me by name? He (peace be upon him) said: "Yes (Allah mentioned your name to me)." Then Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) began to weep (out of joy).
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے سیدنا ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا کہ (اور یہ سب قاریوں کے سردار ہیں) اللہ عزت والے اور بزرگی والے نے مجھے حکم کیا کہ میں تمہارے آگے سورۃ ((لم یکن الّذین کفروا ....)) پڑھوں۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ کیا اللہ جل جلالہ نے میرا نام لیا ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ہاں (اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے آگے تمہارا نام لیا ہے) تو سیدنا ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ (خوشی سے) رونے لگے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2116]
