Sayyiduna Abu Umama al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Read the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for those who read it. And read the two radiant Suras — Surat al-Baqara and Surat Aal Imran — for they will come on the Day of Resurrection as if they were two clouds, or two canopies, or two flocks of birds, arguing on behalf of their people. And the taking up of Surat al-Baqara is a blessing and abandoning it is a cause of regret, and the sorcerers cannot withstand it." Mu'awiya said: The word batala in the hadith means the sorcerers.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوامامہ باہلی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ قرآن پڑھو، اس لئے کہ وہ قیامت کے دن اپنے پڑھنے والوں کا سفارشی ہو کر آئے گا۔ اور چمکتی ہوئی دو سورتیں پڑھو جو کہ سورۃ البقرہ اور سورۃ آل عمران ہیں، اس لئے کہ وہ قیامت کے دن آئیں گی گویا کہ دو بادل ہیں یا دو سائبان یا دو ٹولیاں ہیں پرندوں کی اور اپنے لوگوں کی طرف سے حجت کرتی ہوئی آئیں گی۔ اور سورۃ البقرہ پڑھنے کا لینا برکت ہے اور اس کا چھوڑنا حسرت ہے اور جادوگر لوگ اس کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتے۔ معاویہ نے کہا کہ حدیث میں جو بطلۃ کا لفظ ہے، اس کا معنی جادوگر ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2095]
