The Mother of the Believers Aisha as-Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed away, and there was a little barley in a vessel of mine on a shelf. I used to eat from it, until many days passed. Then I measured it and it was used up. (It became known that in what is unknown and unquantified there is greater blessing.)

ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وفات پائی اور میرے دانوں کے برتن میں تھوڑے سے جو تھے۔ اسی میں سے کھایا کرتی تھی۔ یہاں تک کہ بہت دن گزر گئے۔ (پھر) میں نے ان کو ماپا تو وہ ختم ہو گئے (معلوم ہوا کہ مجہول اور مبہم شے میں برکت زیادہ ہوتی ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2074]
