Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded a man who was distributing arrows near the mosque that when he goes out carrying arrows, he should grasp them by their heads (that is, the pointed end).

سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک شخص کو جو کہ مسجد کے قریب تیر بانٹتا تھا، یہ حکم دیا کہ جب تیر لے کر نکلے تو ان کی پیکان (یعنی نوک والی طرف) تھام لیا کرے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1816]
