Narrated Umm al-Mu'minin Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): I would drink water, then after drinking give the vessel to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he would place his mouth on the very spot where I had placed my mouth and drunk, and drink water, even though I was menstruating. And I would gnaw at a bone, then give it to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he would place his mouth on the very spot where I had placed mine.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہمیں پانی پیتی تھی، پھر پی کر برتن رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دیتی، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماسی جگہ منہ رکھتے جہاں میں نے منہ رکھ کر پیا تھا اور پانی پیتے، حالانکہ میں حائضہ ہوتی اور میں ہڈی نوچتی، پھر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دے دیتی، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماسی جگہ منہ لگاتے جہاں میں نے لگایا تھا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 178]
