Narrated Umm al-Mu'minin Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): I (while in i'tikaf) would go into the house for a need, and while passing, if anyone in the house was ill, I would inquire about them. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would remain in the mosque and extend his head toward me, and I would comb it. And when he was in i'tikaf, he would not enter the house except for a need.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہمیں (جب اعتکاف میں ہوتی) حاجت کے لئے گھر میں جاتی اور چلتے چلتے جو کوئی گھر میں بیمار ہوتا تو اس کو بھی پوچھ لیتی اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممسجد میں رہ کر اپنا سر میری طرف ڈال دیتے اور میں اس میں کنگھی کر دیتی اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب اعتکاف میں ہوتے تو گھر میں نہ جاتے مگر حاجت کے لئے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 174]
