Narrated Ibn Shihab: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) fought on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah. Then he set out with the Muslims and fought at Hunayn, and Allah granted victory to His religion and to the Muslims. On that day he gave (from the spoils) one hundred camels to Safwan bin Umayyah, then one hundred camels, then one hundred camels. Ibn Shihab said that Sa'id bin al-Musayyab related to him that Safwan said, "By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave me what he gave, and (before that) he was the most hateful of people in my eyes; then he kept giving to me until he became the most beloved of all people to me." الترجمة الأردية
ابن شہاب سے روایت ہے، بیان کرتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے غزوہ فتح مکہ کے موقعہ پر جہاد کیا۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماپنے ساتھ مسلمانوں کو لے کر نکلے اور حنین میں لڑائی کی تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے دین اور مسلمانوں کی نصرت فرمائی۔ اس دن آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (مال غنیمت سے) صفوان بن امیہ کو سو اونٹ دیئے۔ پھر 100 اونٹ دیئے۔ پھر 100 اونٹ دیئے۔ ابن شہاب کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے سعید بن مسیب نے بیان کیا کہ صفوان نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مجھے جو کچھ دیا، دیا۔ اور (اس سے قبل) میری نگاہ میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسب سے زیادہ برے تھے پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمیشہ مجھے دیتے رہے حتیٰ کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیری نگاہ میں سب لوگوں سے زیادہ محبوب ہو گئے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1588]
