Abdullah ibn Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and ate with him (peace be upon him) bread, meat, or tharid (the narrator of the hadith, Asim,) says: I asked Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) supplicate for forgiveness for you?" He said, "Yes, and for you too." Then he recited this verse: "Ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women." Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Then I went behind him (peace be upon him), and I saw the seal of prophethood between his two shoulders, near the shoulder by the scapula bone; it was like a clenched fist, and upon it were moles like warts.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عبداللہ بن سرجس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دیکھا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ روٹی، گوشت یا ثرید کھایا (راوی حدیث عاصم) کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے تمہارے لئے بخشش کی دعا کی؟ انہوں نے کہا ہاں اور تیرے لئے بھی۔ پھر یہ آیت پڑھی کہ”بخشش مانگ اپنے گناہ کی اور مومن مردوں اور مومن عورتوں کے گناہ کی“۔ عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ پھر میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پیچھے گیا تو میں نے دونوں کندھوں کے درمیان میں چلنی ہڈی کے پاس کندھے کے قریب مہر نبوت دیکھی، وہ بند مٹھی کی طرح تھی اور اس پر مسوں کی طرح تل تھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1561]
