Narrated Humran, who was the freed slave of Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) called for water for ablution and performed ablution. First he washed both hands up to the wrists three times, then rinsed his mouth and put water into his nose. Then he washed his face three times, then washed his right hand up to the elbow, then washed his left hand three times, then wiped his head. Then he washed his right foot three times, then washed his left foot three times. After that he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) perform ablution in just the manner I have now performed it. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution like my ablution, then stands and prays two rak'ahs, not letting his mind wander to anything else during them, his previous sins will be forgiven." Ibn Shihab said: Our scholars used to say that this ablution is the most complete of all ablutions performed for prayer.
الترجمة الأردية
حمران سے روایت ہے جوسیدنا عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ کے آزاد کردہ غلام تھے، انہوں نے کہا کہ سیدنا عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ نے وضو کا پانی منگوایا اور وضو کیا تو پہلے دونوں ہاتھ کلائیوں تک تین بار دھوئے، پھر کلی کی اور ناک میں پانی ڈالا۔ پھر تین بار منہ دھویا، پھر داہنا ہاتھ دھویا کہنی تک پھر تین بار بایاں ہاتھ دھویا پھر مسح کیا سر پر۔ پھر داہنا پاؤں دھویا تین بار پھر بایاں پاؤں دھویا تین بار۔ اس کے بعد کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دیکھا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اسی طرح وضو کیا جیسے میں نے اب وضو کیا۔ پھر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جو شخص میرے وضو کی طرح وضو کرے پھر کھڑے ہو کر دو رکعتیں پڑھے اور ان (کے پڑھنے) میں اور کسی خیال میں غرق نہ ہو تو اس کے اگلے گناہ بخش دیئے جائیں گے۔ ابن شہاب نے کہا کہ ہمارے علماء کہتے تھے کہ یہ وضو سب وضوؤں میں سے پورا ہے جو نماز کے لئے کیا جائے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 129]
