Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) left the slain of Badr lying as they were for three days. Then he (peace be upon him) came to them and, calling out to them, said, "O Abu Jahl bin Hisham, O Umayyah bin Khalaf, O Utbah bin Rabi'ah, and O Shaybah bin Rabi'ah! Have you found the promise of Allah the Exalted to be true? For I have found the promise of my Lord to be true." When Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) speak, he said, "O Messenger of Allah! What do these hear, and when will they answer? They are but corpses that have rotted." He (peace be upon him) said, "By Him in whose Hand is my soul, you do not hear what I am saying better than they do. But this is the case, that they cannot answer." Then, by his (peace be upon him) command, they were dragged and cast into the well of Badr. الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بدر کے مقتولین کو تین روز تک یوں ہی پڑا رہنے دیا۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمان کے پاس تشریف لائے اور ان کو آواز دیتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ اے ابوجہل بن ہشام، اے امیہ بن خلف، اے عتبہ بن ربیعہ اور اے شیبہ بن ربیعہ! کیا تم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کا وعدہ سچا پا لیا؟ کیونکہ میں نے تو اپنے رب کا وعدہ سچا پا لیا۔ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکا فرمانا سنا، تو عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! یہ کیا سنتے ہیں اور کب جواب دیتے ہیں؟ یہ تو مردار ہو کر سڑ گئے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ قسم اس کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے میں جو کہہ رہا ہوں اس کو تم لوگ ان سے زیادہ نہیں سنتے ہو۔ البتہ یہ بات ہے کہ وہ جواب نہیں دے سکتے۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے حکم سے انہیں کھینچ کر بدر کے کنوئیں میں ڈال دیا گیا۔ (یعنی وہ صرف نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی بات کو سن رہے تھے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1160]
