Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): Some people came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "Send with us some men to teach us the Qur'an and the Sunnah." So he (peace be upon him) sent to them seventy men from among the Ansar. They were called the Qurra (reciters, memorizers). Among them was my maternal uncle, Haram (may Allah be pleased with him). They used to recite the Qur'an, and sitting together at night they would teach and recite to one another, and by day they would fetch water and place it in the mosque, and gather firewood (from the wild) and sell it, and with (its price) buy food and feed the people of the Suffah. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent them to those people (who had asked for some men to teach them). But those people killed the Qurra before they reached the region (to which they had been called). The Qurra said, "O Allah, convey to our Prophet on our behalf" — that is, O Allah, convey to our Prophet the message that we have met Allah, and we are pleased with Allah, and Allah is pleased with us. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A disbeliever came to my uncle Haram (may Allah be pleased with him) and struck him from behind with a spear that pierced through him. Then Haram (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "By the Lord of the Ka'bah, I have succeeded!" Then (when this had happened) the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Your (Muslim) brothers have been martyred, and they sent this message: We have met Allah, we are pleased with Allah, and He is pleased with us." سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہکچھ لوگ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئے اور کہا کہ ہمارے ساتھ کچھ آدمی بھیجیں جو ہمیں قرآن و سنت سکھائیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کی طرف ستر آدمی انصار میں سے بھیجے ان کو قراء (قاری حافظ لوگ) کہا جاتا تھا اور ان میں میرے ماموں حرام رضی اللہ عنہ بھی تھے وہ (قراء) قرآن پڑتے تھے اور اکٹھے بیٹھ کر رات کو ایک دوسرے کو پڑھاتے اور پڑھتے تھے اور دن کو پانی لا کر مسجد میں رکھ دیتے اور لکڑیاں (جنگل سے) لا کر بیچتے تھے اور (اس قیمت کا) کھانا خریدتے اور اہل صفہ کو کھلاتے تھے۔ پھر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کو لوگوں کے پاس بھیج دیا (جو تعلیم کے لئے کچھ آدمی مانگتے تھے)۔ لیکن انہوں نے ان قراء کو اس سے پہلے کہ وہ اس علاقے میں جاتے (جس میں ان کو بلایا گیا تھا) شہید کر دیا۔ ان قراء نے کہا”اللھم بلغ عنا نبینا“الخ یعنی اے اللہ ہماری طرف سے ہمارے نبی کو یہ پیغام پہنچا دے کہ ہم اللہ کو مل گئے ہیں اور ہم اللہ سے راضی ہو گئے اور اللہ ہم سے راضی ہو گیا ہے۔ سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں میرے ماموں حرام رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس ایک کافر آیا اور اس نے پیچھے سے ایک نیزہ مارا اور پار کر دیا تو سیدنا حرام رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا”فزت ورب الکعبۃ“یعنی کعبہ کے رب کی قسم میں تو کامیاب ہو گیا۔ پھر (جب یہ واقعہ ہو چکا تو) نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: تمہارے (مسلمان) بھائی شہید ہو گئے ہیں اور انھوں نے یہ پیغام بھیجا ہے کہ ہم اللہ کو مل گئے ہم اللہ سے راضی ہو گئے اور وہ ہم سے راضی ہو گیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1081]
