Abu Bakr bin Abdullah bin Qays narrated from his father, saying: I heard my father say, before the enemy (that is, on the battlefield of jihad), that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had said: "Paradise is under the shade of swords." Upon hearing this, a poor man in shabby clothes stood up and said, "O Abu Musa, did you (yourself) hear the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say this?" (Abu Musa) said: "Yes." The narrator says: Hearing this, the man went to his companions and said, "I bid you farewell," and he broke the scabbard of his sword. Then, taking his sword, he went toward the enemy and kept striking them with his sword until he was martyred. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1069]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوبکر بن عبداللہ بن قیس اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے اپنے والد کو دشمن کے سامنے (یعنی میدان جہاد میں) یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ہے کہ جنت تلواروں کے سائے کے نیچے ہے۔ یہ سن کر ایک غریب اور میلے سے کپڑوں والا شخص اٹھا اور کہنے لگا کہ اے ابوموسیٰ تم نے (خود) رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ایسا فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے؟ (سیدنا ابوموسیٰ نے) کہا: ہاں۔ راوی کہتا ہے، یہ سن کر وہ اپنے دوستوں کی طرف گیا اور کہا کہ میں تم کو سلام کرتا ہوں اور اپنی تلوار کا نیام توڑ ڈالا پھر تلوار لے کر دشمن کی طرف گیا اور اپنی تلوار سے دشمن کو مارتا رہا یہاں تک کہ شہید ہو گیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1069]
