Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Two women (of the tribe of Hudhayl) quarreled. One struck the other with a stone, and she died, and the child in her womb also died. These people sought a ruling from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he ruled that the blood-money for her child was a male or female slave, and that the blood-money for the woman was to be paid by the kinsfolk of the one who struck her, and he made her children and her other heirs the inheritors of it (the blood-money). Hamal bin an-Nabighah al-Hudhali said: "O Messenger of Allah, how can we pay compensation for one who neither drank nor ate, neither spoke nor cried out? Such a thing is null (that is, void)." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Because of speaking such rhymed speech, this man is like the soothsayers." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1032]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ(قبیلہ ہذیل) کی دو عورتیں لڑ پڑیں۔ ایک نے دوسری کو پتھر سے مارا، تو وہ بھی مر گئی اور پیٹ والا بچہ بھی مر گیا۔ ان لوگوں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے فیصلہ چاہا تو آپ نے فیصلہ کیا کہ اس کے بچے کی دیت ایک غلام یا ایک لونڈی ہے اور عورت کی دیت مارنے والی کے کنبے والے دیں۔ اور اس کی (دیت میں) اس کی اولاد اور دیگر ورثاء کو وارث بنایا۔ حمل بن نابغہ ہذلی نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ہم اس کا تاوان کیونکر دیں جس نے نہ پیا نہ کھایا نہ بولا نہ چلایا یہ تو آیا گیا (یعنی لغو ہے) رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ایسی قافیہ دار عبارت بولنے کی وجہ سے یہ کاہنوں کا بھائی ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1032]
