وَعَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ: أَنَّهُ أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَانَتَا بِحِيَالِ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وحاذى بإبهاميه أُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لَهُ: يَرْفَعُ إِبْهَامَيْهِ إِلَى شَحْمَةِ أُذُنَيْهِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Wa il b. Hujr said he saw that when the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up to pray he raised his hands till they were in front of his shoulders and placed his thumbs opposite his ears, then he said the takbir. Abu Dawud transmitted it, and in a version by him it says that he raised his thumbs to the lobes of his ears.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت وائل بن حجر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ جب نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے تو ہاتھ اٹھائے یہاں تک کہ کندھوں کے برابر آ گئے اور انگوٹھے کانوں کے برابر ہو گئے، پھر تکبیر کہی۔ (نسائی)
