وَفِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: «ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا ابْنُ الْخَطَّابِ مِنْ يَدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَاسْتَحَالَتْ فِي يَدِهِ غَرْبًا فَلَمْ أَرَ عَبْقَرِيًّا يَفْرِي فَرْيَهُ حَتَّى رَوِيَ النَّاسُ وَضَرَبُوا بعَطَنٍ». مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was with the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a garden, and a man came and asked to be admitted. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Let him in and give him the glad tidings of Paradise." It was Abu Bakr. Then another man came and asked to be admitted. The Prophet said: "Let him in and give him the glad tidings of Paradise." It was 'Umar. Then another man came and asked to be admitted. The Prophet paused for a while, then said: "Let him in and give him the glad tidings of Paradise along with a trial that will befall him." It was 'Uthman ibn 'Affan. Agreed upon.
الترجمة الأردية
ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی روایت میں ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”پھر ابوبکر کے ہاتھ سے ابن خطاب نے اسے لے لیا تو وہ ان کے ہاتھ میں بڑا ہو گیا، میں نے ایسا سردار نہیں دیکھا جو ان کی طرح کام کرتا ہو، حتیٰ کہ لوگ سیراب ہو گئے اور انہوں نے اونٹوں کو بھی حوض سے سیراب کیا۔“متفق علیہ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6041]
