وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: عَرَضَ عَلَيَّ رَبِّي لِيَجْعَلَ لِي يطحاء مَكَّة ذَهَبا فَقلت: لَا يارب وَلَكِنْ أَشْبَعُ يَوْمًا وَأَجُوعُ يَوْمًا فَإِذَا جُعْتُ تَضَرَّعْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَذَكَرْتُكَ وَإِذَا شَبِعَتُ حَمِدْتُكَ وَشَكَرْتُكَ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hakeem ibn Hizam reported: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and he gave me, then I asked again and he gave me, then I asked again and he gave me. Then he said: "O Hakeem, this wealth is sweet and green. Whoever takes it with a generous heart will be blessed in it, and whoever takes it with an avaricious heart will not be blessed in it, like one who eats but is never satisfied. The upper hand is better than the lower hand." Hakeem said: "O Messenger of Allah, by the One Who sent you with the truth, I will not accept anything from anyone after you until I leave this world." Abu Bakr used to invite Hakeem to accept his stipend, but he refused. Then Umar invited him to accept, but he refused. Umar said: "O Muslims, I bear witness before you regarding Hakeem: I offer him his share from this spoil, but he refuses to accept it." Hakeem never took anything from anyone after the Prophet (peace be upon him) until he died. Agreed upon.
الترجمة الأردية
ابوامامہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”میرے رب نے مجھے پیش کش کی کہ وہ مکہ کی وادی بطحا (یا مکہ کے سنگ ریزوں) کو سونا بنا دے، میں نے کہا: رب جی! نہیں، بلکہ میں چاہتا ہوں کہ میں ایک روز شکم سیر ہوں اور ایک روز بھوکا رہوں، جب میں بھوکا رہوں تو تیرے حضور عاجزی کروں اور تیرا ذکر کروں، اور جب شکم سیر ہوں تو تیری حمد بیان کروں اور تیرا شکر ادا کروں۔“اسنادہ ضعیف جذا، رواہ احمد و الترمذی۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب الرقاق/حدیث: 5190]
