وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ فَلَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ الْقَدَرِ سَبَقَتْهُ الْعَيْنُ وَإِذَا اسْتُغْسِلْتُمْ فاغسِلوا» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ibn ‘Abbas reported the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as saying:“The evil eye is genuine If anything could get ahead of the decree the evil eye would do so. And when you are asked to bathe do so.”* Muslim transmitted it. * An indication of the practice here intended will be found in the tradition of Hadrat Abu Umama near the end of Section II of this chapter.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: نظر بد حق ہے۔ اگر کوئی چیز تقدیر سے آگے بڑھ سکتی تو نظر بد بڑھ جاتی۔ اور جب تم سے (نظر اتارنے کے لیے) غسل کرنے کو کہا جائے تو غسل کرو۔ مسلم نے روایت کیا۔
