وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِقَبْرٍ دُفِنَ لَيْلًا فَقَالَ: «مَتَى دُفِنَ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا: الْبَارِحَةَ. قَالَ: «أَفَلَا آذَنْتُمُونِي؟» قَالُوا: دَفَنَّاهُ فِي ظُلْمَةِ اللَّيْلِ فَكَرِهْنَا أَنْ نُوقِظَكَ فَقَامَ فَصَفَفْنَا خَلفه فصلى عَلَيْهِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ibn ‘Abbas said that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came upon a grave where an interment had taken place at night and asked when this person had been buried. On being told that he had been buried the previous night, he asked why they had not informed him. They told him that they had conducted the burial in the darkness of night and had not liked to waken him, whereupon he stood up, and when they formed a row behind him he prayed over the dead. الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک ایسی قبر کے پاس سے گزرے جس میں رات کو دفنایا گیا تھا۔ آپ نے پوچھا: یہ کب دفنایا گیا؟ لوگوں نے کہا: کل رات۔ آپ نے فرمایا: تم نے مجھے خبر کیوں نہ دی؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہم نے اندھیری رات میں دفنایا اور آپ کو جگانا مناسب نہ سمجھا۔ آپ کھڑے ہوئے، ہم نے آپ کے پیچھے صف باندھی اور آپ نے اس پر نماز جنازہ پڑھائی۔ (بخاری و مسلم)
