1210 صحيح حديث أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلاَ تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا قَالَ: سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أُثْرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever obeys me has obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah. And whoever obeys the leader has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the leader has disobeyed me. The imam is but a shield, behind which one fights and by which one is protected. If he commands piety and is just, he will have a reward for that. If he commands otherwise, it will be upon him."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک انصاری صحابی نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! فلاں شخص کی طرح مجھے بھی آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمحاکم بنا دیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”میرے بعد (دنیاوی معاملات میں) تم پر دوسروں کو ترجیح دی جائے گی، اس لیے صبر سے کام لینا، یہاں تک کہ مجھ سے حوض پر آ ملو۔“[اللؤلؤ والمرجان/كتاب الإمارة/حدیث: 1210]
