عَنْشُعْبَةَ، عَنْمَنْصُورٍ، عَنْذَرٍّ، عَنْيُسَيْعٍ، عَنِالنُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هَوَ الْعِبَادَةُ"، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ سورة غافر آية 60".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Bara' ibn Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would go to bed, he would lie on his right side and say: "O Allah, I have surrendered my soul to You, and I have turned my face to You, and I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have leaned my back on You, in hope and fear of You. There is no refuge or escape from You except to You. O Allah, I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If you die that night, you will die upon the natural disposition [of Islam]. Make these words the last thing you say."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے، وہ نبی اکرمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ بے شک دعا عبادت ہے، پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (آیت) پڑھی:﴿وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ﴾(المؤمن: 60)”اور تمہارے رب نے فرمایا: مجھے پکارو، میں تمہاری دعا قبول کروں گا۔“[مسند عبدالله بن مبارك/حدیث: 74]
