عَنْرِشْدِينَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْعَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِحَدَّثَهُ، عَنْأَبِي السَّمْحِ، عَنْأَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" وَيْلٌ: وَادٍ فِي جَهَنَّمَ يَهْوِي فِيهِ الْكَافِرُ أَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ قَعْرَهُ، وَالصَّعُودُ جَبَلٌ مِنْ نَارٍ يَتَصَعَّدُ فِيهِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا، ثُمَّ يَهْوِي بِهِ كَذَلِكَ أَبَدًا".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Trials and tribulations will be presented to the hearts like a straw mat, reed by reed. Any heart that absorbs them will have a black spot placed upon it, and any heart that rejects them will have a white spot placed upon it, until the hearts become of two types: a white heart like a smooth stone, which no trial will harm as long as the heavens and the earth endure; and a dark, murky heart like an overturned vessel, recognizing neither good nor rejecting evil, except what suits its desires."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نبی اکرمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ””ویل“جہنم میں ایک وادی ہے، کافر اس سے پہلے کہ اس کی گہرائی تک پہنچے چالیس سال گرتا رہے گا اور”صعود“ایک آگ کا پہاڑ ہے، وہ اس پر ستر سال تک چڑھتا رہے گا، پھر آگ میں گر جائے گا۔“[مسند عبدالله بن مبارك/حدیث: 144]
