أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ* عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ رَأَيْتُ قَدَحًا أَتَيْتُ بِهِ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَرَى الرِّيَّ يَجْرِي فِي أَظْفَارِي ثُمَّ أَعْطَيْتُ فَضْلِي عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ» قَالُوا فَمَا أَوَّلْتَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «الْعِلْمَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The father of Hamzah ibn Abdullah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'While I was sleeping, I saw that I was brought a cup containing milk, and I drank from it until I could see the satiation flowing through my fingernails. Then I gave what remained to Umar ibn al-Khattab.' They said: What did you interpret that to be, O Messenger of Allah? He said: 'Knowledge.'
