أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُهَاجِرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَتُنْتَقَضَنَّ عُرَى الْإِسْلَامِ عُرْوَةً عُرْوَةً فَكُلَّمَا انْتُقِضَتْ عُرْوَةٌ تَشَبَّثَ النَّاسُ بِالَّتِي تَلِيهَا فَأَوَّلُهُنَّ نَقْضًا الْحُكْمُ وَآخِرُهُنَّ الصَّلَاةُ»

Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Marwazi narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, Abd al-Aziz ibn Isma'il ibn Ubaydullah ibn Abi al-Muhajir narrated to me, Sulayman ibn Habib narrated to me from Abu Umamah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The bonds of Islam will certainly be undone one by one. Whenever one bond is undone, people will cling to the one that follows it. The first of them to be undone will be ruling (governance), and the last of them will be prayer."
