أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «سَيَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ زَمَانٌ يَحْسُرُ الْفُرَاتُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَيَقْتَتِلُ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ فَيُقْتَلُ مِنْ كُلِّ مِائَةٍ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ» قَالَ «يَا بُنَيَّ إِنْ أَدْرَكْتَهُ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِمَّنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ»

Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Sami informed us, Ali ibn al-Ja'd narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A time will come upon you when the Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold, and people will fight over it. Ninety-nine out of every hundred will be killed." He said: "O my son, if you witness it, do not be among those who fight over it."
