أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عِيسَى بْنَ هِلَالٍ الصَّدَفِيَّ وَأَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يَقُولَانِ سَمِعْنَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «سَيَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ أُمَّتِي رِجَالٌ يَرْكَبُونَ عَلَى سُرُوجٍ كَأَشْبَاهِ الرِّجَالِ يَنْزِلُونَ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسَاجِدِ نِسَاؤُهُمْ كَاسِيَاتٌ عَارِيَاتٌ عَلَى رُءُوسِهِنَّ كَأَسْنِمَةِ الْبُخْتِ الْعِجَافِ الْعَنُوهُنَّ فَإِنَّهُنَّ مَلْعُونَاتٌ لَوْ كَانَ وَرَاءَكُمْ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ خَدَمَهُنَّ نِسَاؤُكُمْ كَمَا خَدَمَكُمْ نِسَاءُ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَكُمْ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Khalifah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Bashshar narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent an expedition and appointed a man from the Ansar as commander over them, and commanded them to obey him. Then he angered them about something, so he said: Is it not that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded you to obey me? They said: Yes. He said: Then gather firewood. So they gathered firewood. He said: Light a fire. So they lit it. Then he said: Did not the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) command you to obey me? They said: Yes. He said: Enter this fire. So they looked at each other and said: We only fled to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from the fire. While they were like that, the fire went out and his anger subsided. When that was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: «If they had entered it, they would not have come out of it until the Day of Resurrection. Obedience is only in righteousness.»
