Muhammad bin Al-Hasan bin Qutaybah narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abi Al-Sarri narrated to us, saying: Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, saying: Ma'mar informed us from Al-Zuhri from Sa'id bin Al-Musayyib from Abu Hurairah, who said: We were with the Prophet (peace be upon him) at Hunayn, and he said about a man who claimed to be a Muslim: "He is from the people of the Fire." When the battle came, the man fought fiercely and was severely wounded. It was said to him: O Messenger of Allah, the man whom you said was from the people of the Fire fought fiercely today and died. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "To the Fire." Some of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) almost doubted. While they were in that state, it was said: He did not die, but he has severe wounds. When it was night, his wounds became severe, so he killed himself. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was informed of that, and he said: "Allah is the Greatest! I bear witness that I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger." Then he ordered Bilal, who called out to the people: "None will enter Paradise except a Muslim soul, and indeed Allah supports the religion with a sinful man."
