أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ جِدًّا ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ جِدًّا ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوْلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوْلِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ انْحَدَرَ بِالسُّجُودِ فَسَجَدَ ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوْلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوْلِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوْلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوْلِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَانْحَدَرَ بِالسُّجُودِ فَسَجَدَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَنْخَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَكَبِّرُوا» «يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ إِنْ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَزْنِيَ عَبْدُهُ أَوْ تَزْنِيَ أُمَّتُهُ يَا أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا»

Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood for the prayer. He prolonged the standing very much, then performed a bowing and prolonged the bowing very much. Then he raised his head and prolonged the standing, and it was less than the first standing. Then he performed a bowing and prolonged the bowing, and it was less than the first bowing. Then he raised his head, then descended in prostration and prostrated. Then he stood in the second unit and prolonged the standing, and it was less than the first standing. Then he performed a bowing and prolonged the bowing, and it was less than the first bowing. Then he raised his head and prolonged the standing, and it was less than the first standing. Then he performed a bowing and prolonged the bowing, and it was less than the first bowing. Then he raised his head and descended in prostration and prostrated. Then he stated: «O people, indeed the sun and the moon are two signs from among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse for the death of anyone nor for their life. So when you see that, pray, give charity, and say the takbir.» «O community of Muhammad, there is no one more jealous than Allah that His male servant should commit fornication or His female servant should commit fornication. O community of Muhammad, if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much.»
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں سورج کو گرہن لگا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے۔ آپ نے بہت لمبا قیام کیا، پھر رکوع کیا اور بہت لمبا رکوع کیا۔ پھر سر اٹھایا اور قیام لمبا کیا اور یہ پہلے قیام سے کم تھا۔ پھر رکوع کیا اور رکوع لمبا کیا اور یہ پہلے رکوع سے کم تھا۔ پھر سر اٹھایا، پھر سجدے میں اترے اور سجدہ کیا۔ پھر دوسری رکعت میں کھڑے ہوئے اور قیام لمبا کیا اور یہ پہلے قیام سے کم تھا۔ پھر رکوع کیا اور رکوع لمبا کیا اور یہ پہلے رکوع سے کم تھا۔ پھر سر اٹھایا اور قیام لمبا کیا اور یہ پہلے قیام سے کم تھا۔ پھر رکوع کیا اور رکوع لمبا کیا اور یہ پہلے رکوع سے کم تھا۔ پھر سر اٹھایا اور سجدے میں اترے اور سجدہ کیا۔ پھر آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: «اے لوگو! بے شک سورج اور چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں۔ یہ کسی کی موت یا زندگی کے لیے نہیں گرہن ہوتے۔ پس جب تم یہ دیکھو تو نماز پڑھو، صدقہ کرو اور تکبیر کہو۔» «اے محمد کی امت! اللہ سے زیادہ غیرت والا کوئی نہیں کہ اس کا بندہ زنا کرے یا اس کی بندی زنا کرے۔ اے محمد کی امت! اگر تم جانتے جو میں جانتا ہوں تو تم کم ہنستے اور زیادہ روتے۔»
