أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ زَوْجِي صَفْوَانَ بْنَ الْمُعَطَّلِ يَضْرِبُنِي إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ وَيُفَطِّرُنِي إِذَا صُمْتُ وَلَا يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ قَالَ وَصَفْوَانُ عِنْدَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ عَمَّا قَالَتْ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَّا قَوْلُهَا يَضْرِبُنِي إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ فَإِنَّهَا تَقْرَأُ بِسُورَتِي وَقَدْ نَهَيْتُهَا عَنْهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَوْ كَانَتْ سُورَةً وَاحِدَةً لَكَفَتِ النَّاسَ» قَالَ وَأَمَّا قَوْلُهَا يُفَطِّرُنِي إِذَا صُمْتُ فَإِنَّهَا تَنْطَلِقُ فَتَصُومُ وَأَنَا رَجُلٌ شَابٌّ وَلَا أَصْبِرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَئِذٍ «لَا تَصُومُ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا» قَالَ وَأَمَّا قَوْلُهَا لَا أُصَلِّي حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَإِنَّا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ لَا نَكَادُ نَسْتَيْقِظُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ ﷺ «فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظْتَ فَصَلِّ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated: A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my husband Safwan bin al-Mu'attal beats me when I pray, makes me break my fast when I fast, and does not pray the Fajr prayer until the sun rises.' He said: Safwan was with him, so he asked him about what she said. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, as for her saying he beats me when I pray, she recites two surahs and I have forbidden her from them.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'If it were one surah, it would be sufficient for the people.' He said: 'As for her saying he makes me break my fast when I fast, she goes and fasts while I am a young man and cannot restrain myself.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that day: 'A woman should not fast except with her husband's permission.' He said: 'As for her saying I do not pray until the sun rises, we are a household who can hardly wake up until the sun rises.' So he ﷺ said: 'When you wake up, then pray.'
