أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الطَّائِيُّ بِمَنْبِجَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْبَيْدَاءِ أَوْ بِذَاتِ الْجَيْشِ انْقَطَعَ عِقْدٌ لِي فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْتِمَاسِهِ وَأَقَامَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ وَلَيْسَ هُمْ عَلَى مَاءٍ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ فَجَاءَ أُنَاسٌ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فَقَالُوا أَلَا تَرَى مَا صَنَعَتْ عَائِشَةُ؟ أَقَامَتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبِالنَّاسِ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى مَاءٍ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ فَعَاتَبَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ وَجَعَلَ يَطْعُنُ بِيَدِهِ فِي خَاصِرَتِي فَلَا يَمْنَعُنِي مِنَ التَّحَرُّكِ إِلَّا مَكَانُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ عَلَى غَيْرِ مَاءٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ آيَةَ التَّيَمُّمِ فَتَيَمَّمُوا»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated: We set out with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on one of his journeys, and when we were at al-Bayda or Dhat al-Jaysh, a necklace of mine broke. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stopped to look for it, and the people stopped with him, though they were not near any water nor did they have water with them. Some people came to Hadrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be well pleased with him) and said: Do you not see what Aisha has done? She has detained the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and the people, and they are not near any water nor do they have water with them. Abu Bakr admonished me and said whatever Allah willed him to say, and he began poking me in my side, but nothing prevented me from moving except the position of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on my lap. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) remained until morning without water. Then Allah revealed the verse of tayammum, and they performed tayammum.
الترجمة الأردية
اُمّ المؤمنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں نکلے، جب ہم مقام بیداء یا ذات الجیش پر پہنچے تو میرا ہار ٹوٹ گیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اسے تلاش کرنے کے لیے ٹھہر گئے اور لوگ بھی آپ کے ساتھ ٹھہر گئے حالانکہ وہ پانی کے قریب نہیں تھے اور ان کے پاس پانی نہیں تھا۔ کچھ لوگ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس آئے اور کہا: کیا آپ نہیں دیکھتے عائشہ نے کیا کیا ہے؟ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور لوگوں کو روک دیا ہے حالانکہ نہ پانی قریب ہے نہ ان کے پاس پانی ہے۔ ابوبکر نے مجھے ڈانٹا اور جو اللہ نے چاہا کہا اور اپنے ہاتھ سے میری پہلو میں کونچنے لگے لیکن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے سر (میری گود میں) ہونے کے سوا مجھے حرکت سے کوئی چیز نہیں روک رہی تھی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم صبح تک بغیر پانی کے رہے۔ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے آیتِ تیمم نازل فرمائی اور لوگوں نے تیمم کیا۔
