Hadrat Abu Hurayra (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) marched toward Makkah to conquer it, he said to Abu Hurayra: 'Call out to the Ansar!' So he called out: 'O company of the Ansar, respond to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)!' They came as if they had been given an appointment. Then he said: 'Take this road and let no one appear before you except that you grant him safety.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) marched and Allah granted him the conquest. He performed tawaf around the Ka'ba, prayed two rak'ahs, then went out from the gate facing Safa and ascended Safa and addressed the people while the Ansar were below him. Some of the Ansar said to others: 'As for the man, compassion for his people and affection for his city have overcome him.' Then Allah revealed the revelation about what the Ansar had said, and the Beloved Prophet stated: 'O company of the Ansar, you say: As for the man, compassion for his people and affection for his city have overcome him.' He stated: 'Then who am I? Never! By Allah, I am truly the slave of Allah and His Messenger. Life is your life and death is your death.' They said: 'By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we only said that out of fear of being separated from you.' He stated: 'You are truthful before Allah and before His Messenger.' Not one of them remained except that his chest was soaked with tears.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فتح مکہ کے لیے روانہ ہوئے تو آپ نے ابوہریرہ سے فرمایا: «انصار کو بلاؤ!» تو اُنہوں نے پکارا: اے گروہِ انصار! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی پکار پر حاضر ہو! وہ ایسے آئے جیسے اُن کا وعدہ تھا۔ پھر آپ نے فرمایا: «اس راستے سے چلو اور تمہارے سامنے جو بھی آئے اُسے امان دے دو۔» رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم چلے اور اللہ نے فتح عطا فرمائی۔ آپ نے بیت اللہ کا طواف کیا، دو رکعت نماز پڑھی، پھر صفا کی طرف والے دروازے سے نکلے اور صفا پر چڑھ کر لوگوں کو خطبہ دیا جبکہ انصار نیچے تھے۔ انصار نے آپس میں کہا: اس شخص کو اپنی قوم کی شفقت اور اپنے شہر کی محبت نے جکڑ لیا ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے وحی نازل فرمائی جو انصار نے کہا تھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: «اے گروہِ انصار! تم کہتے ہو کہ اس شخص کو اپنی قوم کی شفقت اور اپنے شہر کی محبت نے جکڑ لیا ہے؟» فرمایا: «پھر میں کون ہوں؟ ہرگز نہیں! اللہ کی قسم، میں اللہ کا بندہ اور اُس کا سچا رسول ہوں۔ زندگی تمہاری زندگی ہے اور موت تمہاری موت ہے۔» اُنہوں نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم یا رسول اللہ! ہم نے یہ صرف اس ڈر سے کہا تھا کہ کہیں آپ سے جدائی نہ ہو جائے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: «تم اللہ اور اُس کے رسول کے نزدیک سچے ہو۔» اُن میں سے کوئی ایسا نہ تھا جس کا سینہ آنسوؤں سے تر نہ ہوا ہو۔
