Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) for permission to stay in Makkah during the nights of Mina, in order to provide water to the pilgrims. The Prophet (peace be upon him) granted him permission.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہسیدنا عباس عبدالمطلب رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے منیٰ کی راتوں میں حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے کے لیے مکہ میں رہنے کی درخواست کی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انہیں اجازت دے دی۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 822]
