Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said on the day after the Day of Sacrifice (11th Dhul-Hijjah), while he was at Mina: "Tomorrow, by Allah's will, we shall camp at Khayf Bani Kinanah, where the polytheists had made a pact upon disbelief" — meaning al-Muhassab. This was because the Quraysh and Kinanah had made a pact against Banu Hashim and Banu Abd al-Muttalib (or the narrator said Banu al-Muttalib) that they would not intermarry with them nor sell them anything, until Banu Hashim hand over the Prophet (peace be upon him) to them.

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے قربانی سے اگلے دن یعنی گیارہ ذوالحجہ کو فرمایا اور اس وقت آپ منیٰ میں تھے:”ہم کل انشاءاللہ خیف بنی کنانہ میں اتریں گے جہاں مشرکوں نے کفر پر باہم معاہدہ کیا تھا یعنی محصب میں اتریں گے اور یہ واقعہ (کفر پر معاہدہ کا) اس طرح ہوا تھا کہ قریش نے اور کنانہ نے بنی ہاشم اور بنی عبدالمطلب (یا راوی نے کہا کہ) بنی مطلب کے خلاف یہ معاہدہ کیا تھا کہ ان کے ساتھ مناکحت (رشتہ ناطہٰ) نہ کریں گے اور نہ ان کے ہاتھ کوئی چیز فروخت کریں گے یہاں تک کہ بنی ہاشم نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ان کے حوالے کر دیں۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 803]
