Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever wakes up at night and says: 'La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir. Alhamdulillah, wa subhanallah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. All praise is for Allah, and Glory be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah), then says: 'Allahumma ighfir li' (O Allah, forgive me), or makes any supplication, his supplication will be answered. And if he performs wudu and prays, his prayer will be accepted."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جو شخص رات کو اٹھے اور کہے:”اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ ایک ہے، کوئی اس کا شریک نہیں، اس کی بادشاہت ہے اور اسی کی تعریف ہے، وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے، اللہ ہی کے لیے ہر طرح کی تعریف ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ پاک ہے اور اللہ بہت بڑا ہے اور طاقت و قوت کسی میں نہیں مگر اللہ کی مدد سے۔“اس کے بعد کہے:”اے اللہ! میرے گناہ معاف کر دے۔“یا کوئی دعا کرے تو اس کی دعا قبول کر لی جائے گی، پھر اگر وضو کرے اور نماز پڑھے تو اس کی نماز مقبول ہو گی۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 611]
