Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel the distance of one day and night without a mahram (close male relative) accompanying her."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جو عورت اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتی ہے اس کے لیے جائز نہیں کے ایک دن رات کی مسافت کا سفر (اس حال میں) کرے کہ اس کے ہمراہ کوئی محرم نہ ہو۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 580]
