Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We were on a journey with the Prophet (peace be upon him). The mu'adhdhin wanted to give the adhan for Dhuhr, but the Prophet said: 'Let it cool down.' Then he wanted to give the adhan again, but the Prophet said: 'Let it cool down' — until we could see the shadows of the hillocks. Then the Prophet said: 'The intensity of heat is from the raging of Hellfire, so when the heat is extreme, delay the prayer until it cools down.'"
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوذرغفاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہم کسی سفر میں نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ تھے، مؤذن نے چاہا کہ ظہر کی اذان دے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس سے فرمایا:”ٹھنڈا ہونے دو۔“پھر اس نے چاہا کہ اذان دے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس سے فرمایا:”ٹھنڈا ہونے دو۔“یہاں تک کہ ہم نے ٹیلوں کا سایہ دیکھا۔ پھر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”گرمی کی شدت جہنم کے جوش سے (ہوتی) ہے، لہٰذا جب گرمی کی شدت ہو جائے تو (ظہر کی) نماز کو ٹھنڈا کر کے پڑھو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 333]
