Narrated Ma'qil ibn Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Any servant whom Allah appoints as a ruler over subjects, and then he does not guard them with sincere concern for their welfare, will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا معقل بن یسار رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، فرماتے تھے کہ جس بندے کو اللہ نے رعیت کا حاکم بنایا پھر اس نے اپنی رعیت کی خیرخواہی کے ساتھ نگہبانی نہ کی تو وہ جنت کی خوشبو تک نہ سونگھ سکے گا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2201]
