The Mother of the Believers, Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), said: I used to apply perfume to the Prophet (peace be upon him) with my own hand—which at that time was the finest fragrance—so much so that I could perceive the fragrance in his (peace be upon him) blessed head and beard.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہمیں نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اپنے ہاتھ سے، جو اس وقت کی سب سے عمدہ خوشبو تھی، لگایا کرتی تھی اور یہاں تک کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے سر اور داڑھی مبارک میں بھی مجھے خوشبو معلوم ہوتی تھی۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2002]
