Salman ibn Amir al-Dabbi (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say, 'A boy must have an aqiqa done for him; shed blood on his behalf and remove the harm (shave his head).'"
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا سلمان بن عامر الضبی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا:”لڑکے کا عقیقہ کرنا (لازم) ہے، اس کی طرف سے خون گراؤ اور تکلیف دور کرو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1913]
