الترجمة الإنجليزية
In this narration of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) there is this addition: They (the disbelievers) said, "O our Lord! Remove this punishment from us; we believe." (ad-Dukhan: 12) Then it was said (to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) by Allah), "If We remove this punishment from them, they will return to the same (disbelief and polytheism)." Then he (peace be upon him) supplicated (for the removal of the famine from them, and it was accepted), but they returned to the same (disbelief), so Allah the Exalted took full retribution from them on the Day of Badr.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما کی اس روایت میں اتنا زیادہ ہے کہانھوں (کافروں) نے کہا”اے پروردگار! ہم سے اس عذاب کو دور کر دے، ہم ایمان لاتے ہیں۔“(الدخان: 12) تو (رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اللہ کی طرف سے) کہا گیا کہ اگر ہم اس عذاب کو ان پر سے ہٹا لیں گے تو یہ پھر وہی (کفر و شرک) کریں گے، پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (ان پر سے قحط کے دور ہونے کی) دعا کی (اور وہ قبول ہو گئی) لیکن وہ پھر وہی (کفر) کرنے لگے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان سے بدر کے دن اچھی طرح بدلہ لے لیا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1775]
