Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Tonight two angels came to me, woke me from sleep, and took me to a city built of bricks of gold and silver. There we met some men, half of whose bodies were as handsome as you have never seen, and the other half as ugly as you have never seen. The two (angels) said to those people, 'Go into this river.' So they entered it and then came back to us, their ugliness having gone and they having become of very fine appearance. The two angels said to me, 'This is the Garden of Eden (the everlasting Garden), and this is your place. And those people, half of whose bodies were handsome and half ugly, were those who mixed good deeds with evil deeds; Allah overlooked their faults and forgave them (so they became handsome in body).'"
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”آج رات کو دو فرشتے میرے پاس آئے انھوں نے نیند سے مجھے جگایا اور ایک شہر کی طرف لے گئے جو سونے چاندی کی اینٹوں سے بنا ہوا تھا، وہاں چند آدمی ایسے ملے کہ ان کا آدھا بدن تو ایسا خوبصورت تھا کہ تو نے کبھی دیکھا نہ ہو گا اور آدھا بدن ایسا بدصورت کہ تو نے کبھی نہ دیکھا ہو گا۔ ان دونوں (فرشتوں) نے ان لوگوں سے کہا کہ اس نہر میں گھسو تو وہ گھس گئے اور پھر ہمارے پاس آئے ان کی بدصورتی دور ہو گئی اور وہ بہت اچھی شکل و صورت کے ہو گئے۔ ان دونوں فرشتوں نے مجھ سے کہا کہ یہ جنت العدن (ہمیشگی کا باغ) ہے اور یہ آپ کی جگہ ہے اور وہ لوگ جو آدھے تو خوبصورت بدن کے تھے اور آدھے بدصورت بدن کے، وہ وہ لوگ تھے جنہوں نے اچھے عمل کو برے عمل سے ملا دیا تھا، اللہ نے ان سے درگزر کیا اور معاف کر دیا (تو وہ خوبصورت بدن کے ہو گئے)۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1746]
