Narrated Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recited this verse: "He it is Who has sent down to you the Book. In it are clear and decisive verses which are the foundation of the Book, and others that are allegorical. Those in whose hearts is deviation pursue the allegorical ones, seeking discord and seeking their own interpretation. But no one knows their true meaning except Allah. And those firm in knowledge say: 'We believe in it; all of it is from our Lord.' And none take heed except people of understanding." (Al-Imran: 7) Then the Prophet said: "When you see those who pursue the allegorical verses, know that they are the ones Allah has described (in the Quran). So beware of them."
الترجمة الأردية
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے یہ آیت پڑھی”وہی اللہ تعالیٰ ہے اس نے تم پر کتاب اتاری جس میں واضح مضبوط آیتیں ہیں جو اصل کتاب ہیں اور بعض متشابہ آیتیں ہیں پس جن کے دلوں میں نفاق کی بیماری ہے وہ تو اس کی متشابہ آیتوں کے پیچھے لگ جاتے ہیں، فتنے کی طلب اور ان کی مراد کی جستجو کے لیے، حالانکہ ان کی حقیقی مراد کو سوائے اللہ تعالیٰ کے کوئی نہیں جانتا اور پختہ و مضبوط علم والے یہی کہتے ہیں کہ ہم تو ان پر ایمان لا چکے، یہ ہمارے رب کی طرف سے ہیں اور نصیحت تو صرف عقل مند ہی حاصل کرتے ہیں۔“پھر فرمایا:”جب تم یہ ان لوگوں کو دیکھو جو متشابہ آیتوں کے پیچھے لگتے ہیں تو سمجھ لو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے (قرآن میں) انہی لوگوں کا ذکر ہے لہٰذا ان کی صحبت سے بچتے رہو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1724]
