Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) praying on his mount during the Battle of Anmar. He was facing east and praying the voluntary (nafl) prayer.

سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیںمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو جنگ انمار میں سواری پر نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکا منہ مشرق کی طرف تھا، (اور) آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنفل نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1635]
