It is narrated by Hadrat `Hadrat Aisha that Some Muslim men emigrated to Ethiopia whereupon Hadrat Abu Bakr also prepared himself for the emigration, but the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated (to him), "Wait, for I hope that Allah will allow me also to emigrate." Hadrat Abu Bakr said, "Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. Do you hope that (emigration)?" The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, 'Yes." So Hadrat Abu Bakr waited to accompany the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and fed two she-camels he had on the leaves of As-Samur tree regularly for four months One day while we were sitting in our house at midday, someone said to Hadrat Abu Bakr, "Here is Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), coming with his head and a part of his face covered with a cloth-covering at an hour he never used to come to us." Hadrat Abu Bakr said, "Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you, (O the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him))! An urgent matter must have brought you here at this hour." The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came and asked the permission to enter, and he was allowed. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) entered and said to Hadrat Abu Bakr, "Let those who are with you, go out." Hadrat Abu Bakr replied, "(There is no stranger); they are your family. Let my father be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)!" the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "I have been allowed to leave (Mecca)." Hadrat Abu Bakr said, " I shall accompany you, O Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), Let my father be sacrificed for you!" the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "Yes," Hadrat Abu Bakr said, 'O Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Let my father be sacrificed for you. Take one of these two shecamels of mine" the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated. I will take it only after paying its price." So we prepared their baggage and put their journey food In a leather bag. And Asma' bint Hadrat Abu Bakr cut a piece of her girdle and tied the mouth of the leather bag with it. That is why she was called Dhatan- Nitaqaln. Then the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and Hadrat Abu Bakr went to a cave in a mountain called Thour and remained there for three nights. `Abdullah bin Abu Bakr. who was a young intelligent man. used to stay with them at night and leave before dawn so that in the morning, he would he with the Quraish at Mecca as if he had spent the night among them. If he heard of any plot contrived by the Quraish against the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and Hadrat Abu Bakr, he would understand it and (return to) inform them of it when it became dark. 'Amir bin Fuhaira, the freed slave of Hadrat Abu Bakr used to graze a flock of milch sheep for them and he used to take those sheep to them when an hour had passed after the `Isha prayer. They would sleep soundly till 'Amir bin Fuhaira awakened them when it was still dark. He used to do that in each of those three nights

ہم سے ابراہیم بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو ہشام بن عروہ نے خبر دی، انہیں معمر نے، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں عروہ نے اور ان سے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ بہت سے مسلمان حبشہ ہجرت کر کے چلے گئے اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بھی ہجرت کی تیاریاں کرنے لگے لیکن نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ ابھی ٹھہر جاؤ کیونکہ مجھے بھی امید ہے کہ مجھے ( ہجرت کی ) اجازت دی جائے گی۔ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کیا: کیا آپ کو بھی امید ہے؟ میرا باپ آپ پر قربان۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ ہاں۔ چنانچہ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ رہنے کے خیال سے رک گئے اور اپنی دو اونٹنیوں کو ببول کے پتے کھلا کر چار مہینے تک انہیں خوب تیار کرتے رہے۔ عروہ نے بیان کیا کہ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا ہم ایک دن دوپہر کے وقت اپنے گھر میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ ایک شخص نے حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے کہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سر ڈھکے ہوئے تشریف لا رہے ہیں۔ اس وقت عموماً نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہمارے یہاں تشریف نہیں لاتے تھے۔ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا میرے ماں باپ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر قربان ہوں، نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایسے وقت کسی وجہ ہی سے تشریف لا سکتے ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مکان پر پہنچ کر اجازت چاہی اور حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے انہیں اجازت دی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اندر تشریف لائے اور اندر داخل ہوتے ہی حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے فرمایا کہ جو لوگ تمہارے پاس اس وقت ہیں انہیں اٹھا دو۔ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کی میرا باپ آپ پر قربان ہو یا رسول اللہ! یہ سب آپ کے گھر ہی کے افراد ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ مجھے ہجرت کی اجازت مل گئی ہے۔ حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کی پھر یا رسول اللہ! مجھے رفاقت کا شرف حاصل رہے گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہاں۔ عرض کی یا رسول اللہ! میرے باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں ان دو اونٹنیوں میں سے ایک آپ لے لیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا لیکن قیمت سے۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ پھر ہم نے بہت جلدی جلدی سامان سفر تیار کیا اور سفر کا ناشتہ ایک تھیلے میں رکھا۔ اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے اپنے پٹکے کے ایک ٹکڑے سے تھیلہ کے منہ کو باندھا۔ اسی وجہ سے انہیں ”ذات النطاق“ ( پٹکے والی ) کہنے لگے۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ثور نامی پہاڑ کی ایک غار میں جا کر چھپ گئے اور تین دن تک اسی میں ٹھہرے رہے۔ عبداللہ بن ابی بکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما رات آپ حضرات کے پاس ہی گزارتے تھے۔ وہ نوجوان ذہین اور سمجھدار تھے۔ صبح تڑکے میں وہاں سے چل دیتے تھے اور صبح ہوتے ہوتے مکہ کے قریش میں پہنچ جاتے تھے۔ جیسے رات میں مکہ ہی میں رہے ہوں۔ مکہ مکرمہ میں جو بات بھی ان حضرات کے خلاف ہوتی اسے محفوظ رکھتے اور جوں ہی رات کا اندھیرا چھا جاتا غار ثور میں ان حضرات کے پاس پہنچ کر تمام تفصیلات کی اطلاع دیتے۔ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے مولیٰ عامر بن فہیرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ دودھ دینے والی بکریاں چراتے تھے اور جب رات کا ایک حصہ گزر جاتا تو ان بکریوں کو غار ثور کی طرف ہانک لاتے تھے۔ آپ حضرات بکریوں کے دودھ پر رات گزارتے اور صبح کی پو پھٹتے ہی عامر بن فہیرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ وہاں سے روانہ ہو جاتے۔ ان تین راتوں میں انہوں نے ہر رات ایسا ہی کیا۔
