وَأَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، وَعَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، رضى الله عنهم قَالاَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَفِقَ يَطْرَحُ خَمِيصَةً لَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَهْوَ كَذَلِكَ يَقُولُ " لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى، اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ ". يُحَذِّرُ مَا صَنَعُوا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated by Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) and Hadrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was about to depart this world, he started covering his blessed face with his woolen sheet. When he felt short of breath, he removed it from his face and stated, 'May Allah's curse be upon the Jews and the Christians, for they took the graves of their Prophets as places of worship.' (Hadrat Aisha said) He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was warning against what they had done (so that this nation would not do the same).
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا اور حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی وفات کا وقت قریب آیا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنی چادر اپنے چہرۂ انور پر ڈالنے لگے، جب سانس رکنے لگتا تو چہرے سے ہٹا لیتے اور اسی حال میں ارشاد فرمایا: یہودیوں اور عیسائیوں پر اللہ کی لعنت ہو، انہوں نے اپنے انبیاء کی قبروں کو عبادت گاہیں بنا لیا۔ (حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا) آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے عمل سے ڈرا رہے تھے (تاکہ امت ایسا نہ کرے)۔
