حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ـ رضى الله عنها دَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اشْتَرِي وَأَعْتِقِي، فَإِنَّ الْوَلاَءَ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ ". ثُمَّ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الْعَشِيِّ، فَأَثْنَى عَلَى اللَّهِ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ " مَا بَالُ أُنَاسٍ يَشْتَرِطُونَ شُرُوطًا لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ، مَنِ اشْتَرَطَ شَرْطًا لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَهْوَ بَاطِلٌ، وَإِنِ اشْتَرَطَ مِائَةَ شَرْطٍ، شَرْطُ اللَّهِ أَحَقُّ وَأَوْثَقُ ".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha al-Siddiqa (may Allah be well pleased with her) who states: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came to me and I mentioned to him (the matter of purchasing Barirah, may Allah be well pleased with her). The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Buy her and set her free, for the right of patronage (Wala') belongs only to the one who sets free. Then the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up in the evening and praised Allah the Exalted as He deserves, then stated: What is the matter with people who impose conditions that are not in the Book of Allah? Whoever imposes a condition that is not in the Book of Allah, that condition is void, even if it be a hundred conditions. The condition of Allah the Exalted is more worthy and more binding.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے، فرماتی ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف لائے تو میں نے آپ سے (بریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے خریدنے کا) ذکر کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: خرید لو اور آزاد کر دو، کیونکہ ولاء تو اسی کی ہوتی ہے جو آزاد کرے۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم شام کو (منبر پر) کھڑے ہوئے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی جیسی شان ہے ویسی تعریف و ثنا فرمائی، پھر ارشاد فرمایا: لوگوں کو کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ ایسی شرطیں لگاتے ہیں جو کتاب اللہ میں نہیں ہیں؟ جو شخص بھی ایسی شرط لگائے جو کتاب اللہ میں نہ ہو تو وہ شرط باطل ہے، خواہ سو شرطیں ہی کیوں نہ ہوں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کی شرط زیادہ حقدار اور زیادہ مضبوط ہے۔
