حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ، فَهَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ مِنْ غُسْلٍ إِذَا احْتَلَمَتْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ ". فَغَطَّتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ ـ تَعْنِي وَجْهَهَا ـ وَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَتَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ قَالَ " نَعَمْ تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ فَبِمَ يُشْبِهُهَا وَلَدُهَا ".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Umm Salama (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrates that Umm Sulaym (may Allah be well pleased with her) came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), Allah the Exalted is not shy of the truth. Is bathing obligatory upon a woman if she has a wet dream? The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Yes, if she sees the discharge. Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Umm Salama (may Allah be well pleased with her) covered her face out of modesty and submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), does a woman have wet dreams? He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Yes, may your hand be dusty! Then why does her child resemble her?
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ اُمّ سُلیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمتِ اقدس میں حاضر ہوئیں اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اللہ تعالیٰ حق بات سے نہیں شرماتا، تو کیا عورت پر بھی غسل ضروری ہے جب اسے احتلام ہو؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: (ہاں) جب وہ پانی دیکھے (یعنی منی کا اثر معلوم ہو)۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے (شرم سے) اپنا چہرہ ڈھانپ لیا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا عورت کو بھی احتلام ہوتا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہاں! تمہارے ہاتھ خاک آلود ہوں! پھر اس کا بچہ اس سے مشابہت کیوں رکھتا ہے؟
