The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Any woman who marries without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is invalid, her marriage is invalid, her marriage is invalid. If he has had relations with her, then she is entitled to her bridal gift for what he took from her. If they dispute, then the Sultan is the guardian of one who has no guardian.»
