حدثنا بشر بن خالد العسكري قالَ حَدَّثَنا المغيرة بن سقلاب الحراني قالَ حَدَّثَنا محمد بن إسحاق عن يزيد بن رومان عن عروة عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت لما أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بالقتلى فجروا إلى القليب طرحوا فيه إلا ما كان من أمية بن خلف فإنه تفسخ أو انتفخ في درعه فملأها فذهبوا ليخرجوه فتزايل فأقروه وألقوا عليه من التراب والحجارة فلما ألقوا في القليب وقف عليهم رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يا أهل القليب هل وجدتم ما وعدكم ربكم حَقًّا فَإِنِّي قَدْ وَجَدْتُ مَا وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي حقا قالوا يا رسول الله تكلم قوما موتى قال لقد علموا أن ما وعدتهم حق قالت عائشة والناس يقولون لقد سمعوا ما قلت وإنما هو لقد علموا
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated: When the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) ordered that the slain be dragged to the well, they were thrown into it, except for Umayyah ibn Khalaf, for he decomposed or swelled in his armor and filled it. They went to remove him but he fell apart, so they left him and threw earth and stones upon him. When they had been thrown into the well, the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood over them and stated: «O people of the well, have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? Indeed, I have found what my Lord promised me to be true.» They said: O Messenger of Allah, are you speaking to dead people? He stated: «They have come to know that what I promised them is true.» Aishah said: And the people say: They heard what you said. But it is rather: They have come to know.
