وحَدَّثَنا عَبْد الله بن سعيد الأشج حَدَّثَنا عَبْد الرَّحْمن بن مُحَمَّد المحاربي حَدَّثَنا عاصم عن محمد بن سيرين عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إحدى صلاتي العشي ركعتين ثم سلم فاطلق سرعان الناس فقالوا قصرت الصَّلاة فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إلى عمود فوضع يده عليه فعرف الغضب في وجهه وفي القوم أبو بكر وعمر فهاباه أن يكلماه فقال ذو اليدين يا رسولَ الله أقصرت الصَّلاة أم نسيت فقال ما قصرت وما علمتأني نسيت فقال بلى يا رسولَ الله فقال للقوم فقالوا صدق قال فرجع رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى مقامه فصلى ركعتين ثم سلم عن يمينه وعن يساره وسجد سجدتين وجلس قليلا قال عاصم قال أبو قلابة ثم سلموَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ إلا المحاربي العشي ركعتين ثم سلم فاطلق سرعان الناس فقالوا قصرت الصَّلاة فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إلى عمود فوضع يده عليه فعرف الغضب في وجهه وفي القوم أبو بكر وعمر فهاباه أن يكلماه فقال ذو اليدين يا رسولَ الله أقصرت الصَّلاة أم نسيت فقال ما قصرت وما علمتأني نسيت فقال بلى يا رسولَ الله فقال للقوم فقالوا صدق قال فرجع رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى مقامه فصلى ركعتين ثم سلم عن يمينه وعن يساره وسجد سجدتين وجلس قليلا قال عاصم قال أبو قلابة ثم سلموَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ إلا المحاربي
الترجمة الإنجليزية
And Abdullah ibn Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Muharibi narrated to us, Asim narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Sirin from Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed one of the two afternoon prayers, two rak'at, then gave salam. The hasty ones among the people rushed out saying: "The prayer has been shortened." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up to a pillar and placed his hand on it, and anger could be seen on his face. Among the people were Abu Bakr and Umar, but they were too awed to speak to him. Dhul-Yadayn said: "O Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened or did you forget?" He said: "It has not been shortened, and I did not know that I forgot." He said: "Rather, O Messenger of Allah [you did]." So he asked the people and they said: "He speaks the truth." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned to his place, prayed two rak'at, then gave salam to his right and to his left, prostrated two prostrations, and sat briefly. Asim said: Abu Qilaba said: Then he gave salam. And this hadith - we know of no one who narrated it from Asim except al-Muharibi.
